THE PATRICK CURRAN PROJECT
Patrick J. Curran 1979 - 2008
The Patrick Curran Project is a non-profit donation fund established in memory of Patrick James Curran by his friends and family. This fund supports the Granby, MA sports program in small but hopefully meaningful ways.
After losing our beloved family member, Patrick's fiancee, Lierin Labonte, suggested that we buy team jackets for the basketball team. Patrick had played ball for Granby during his high school years and helped organize and coach the DARE Summer Basketball Camp. The idea was perfect and it was something we all knew Pat would love.
It was with great pleasure that we were able to give the girls and boys varsity basketball teams their hoodies this year. This goal was reached through a grass-roots fundraising effort and the generosity of family, friends and fellow Granby residents. This year, we will be extending that gift to the junior varsity basketball teams. As the Project grows, we hope to find other ways to support the youth in our wonderful, little town.
